Dr. Ioannis Douros received the Diploma of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2017. His thesis was on the use of magnetic resonance imaging of the vocal tract to improve speech recognition systems. In 2020, he received his PhD from the University of Lorraine, in collaboration with the University Hospital of Nancy (CHRU de Nancy) and the LORIA/INRIA grand est research centre. His PhD thesis was on the use of MRIs of the vocal tract to create 3D models of speech production independent of the specific anatomical characteristics of each speaker.
