"Athena" RC supports the Eurasian Young Scientists Open Science Salon that will take place from July 20^th to 21^st, 2022 online, at 11:00 -14:00 EEST (16:00-19:00 Beijing Time), hosted by China Association for Science and Technology and organized by the Beijing International Exchange Association.
 

Elli Papadopoulou, National Open Access Desk (NOAD) Coordinator for Greece, Athena RC will participate in the event with the talk “Realizing Open Science in Europe: the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Landscape, OpenAIRE Contribution and National Developments”, on July 20. 
 

As the new technological revolution is speeding up, a new industrial pattern is taking shape. The COVID-19 pandemic, together with the environment, energy and economic development crisis has brought into focus how open science practices such as open access to scientific publications, the sharing of scientific data and collaboration beyond the scientific community can speed up research and strengthen the links between science policy and society. Therefore, the Eurasian Young Scientists Open Science Salon invites 19 young scientists and experts engaging in the Open Science area from 11 European and Asian countries to address the open science cooperation in the related fields of open science policy, open data access, public engagement and university practice on open science.
