A new Postgraduate Program on “Data Sciences and Information Technologies" by the NKUA and BRFAA in collaboration with 'Athena' Research Center

The Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in collaboration with the “Athena” Research Center and the Biomedical Research Foundation, Academy of Athens, invites applications for graduate admission to the new Postgraduate Program “Data and Information Technologies" offering two specializations:
1. Big data and Artificial Intelligence
2. Bioinformatics  
 
The goal of the post graduate program Data Science and Information Technologies (DSIT) is to provide high-quality education in the fields of Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Bioinformatics. The two specializations have been designed according to European and international standards for postgraduate programs, as well as to meet the needs of the greek and european job market.
 
The courses will be taught in English. The duration of postgraduate studies is set to three (3) academic semesters (90 ECTS), including one (1) semester for the completion of the Graduate Thesis (30 ECTS). First (Bachelor’s) degree holders in Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Biology, Medicine and related subjects from Greek or foreign Universities are welcomed to apply. Graduates of foreign institutions should check carefully the website of the Hellenic NARIC organization (http://www.doatap.gr/en/) regarding required first degree recognition procedures.
