The 1st ACM Summer School on Data Science in Europe took place in Athens, Greece, 13-19 July 2017. It succeeded in offering lectures from top scientistics around the world on the subject of data science and it has provided an engaging and high impact educational experience on the areas of: Spatio-temporal analytics, urban analytics, Visual analytics, Social network analytics, Data science ethics & privacy-preserving analytics, Streaming analytics, Text analytics, health analytics, User analytics for recommender systems. Today, ACM's Digital Library, a research, discovery and networking platform published by the Association for Computing Machinery, hosts all videorecorded lecture material and makes them publicly available.
